Apple sudah membagikan catatan mengenai kemungkinan tidak mencapai target pendapatan di Q2 tahun 2020.
Beberapa jam setelah catatan tersebut dibagikan, Tim Cook membagikan catatan lain atau memo khusus untuk para karyawan Apple.
Dalam memo tersebut, Tim Cook selaku CEO Apple menulis perihal Coronavirus atau dikenal dengan nama COVID–19 yang juga berdampak buruk pada Apple.
Tim Cook mencatat bahwa perhatian utama Apple untuk musibah ini tertuju kepada karyawan, mitra, pelanggan, dan pemasok Apple di Tiongkok.
Apple juga mengucapkan terima kasih yang sangat besar kepada tim mereka yang teleh bekerja sepanjang waktu di dalam kondisi penyebaran wabah COVID–19.

Prioritas utama yang dijaga oleh Apple adalah memastikan kesehatan dan keselamatan karyawan, rantai pemasok, pelanggan dan komunitas atau warga setempat di mana Apple beroperasi.
Serupa dengan catatan di Newsroom, Apple juga mengklaim bahwa kekuatan fundamental Apple tetap aman.
Apple juga berharap gangguan ini hanya akan bersifat sementara dan segera berangsur pulih.

Team,Di awal tahun 2020, Apple telah membagikan laporan pendapatan Q1 2020 beserta dengan prediksi catatan pendapata untuk Q2 2020 yang umumnya disampaikan bulan Maret.The response to COVID–19 has touched the lives of so many in the Apple family, and I want to thank everyone for their dedication, empathy, understanding, and care. Today, we more than doubled our donation to support the historic and global health response.
Our paramount concern is with the people who make up Apple’s community of employees, partners, customers, and suppliers in China. I also want to recognize the many people across our teams who have been working around the clock to manage Apple’s global COVID–19 response with diligence and thoughtfulness.
Corporate offices and contact centers have reopened across China, and our stores are starting to reopen, but we are experiencing a slower return to normal conditions than we had anticipated. This afternoon, I shared this update with our community of shareholders and investors to note that we do not expect to meet the revenue guidance we provided for the March quarter. Outside of China, customer demand across our product and service categories has been strong to date and in line with our expectations. Apple is fundamentally strong, and this disruption to our business is only temporary.
Our first priority – now and always – is the health and safety of our employees, supply chain partners, customers, and the communities in which we operate. Our profound gratitude is with those on the front lines of confronting this public health emergency.

Pada pengumuman tersebut, Apple mentargetkan rentan pendapatan Q2 2020 di $63 miliar hingga $67 miliar.
Namun dengan masalah penyebaran wabah Coronavirus, Apple mencatat bahwa mereka tidak dapat mencapai target tersebut.
Sayangnya Apple tidak menjelaskan prediksi penurunan pendapatan yang akan terjadi dari isu kesehatan ini.
