Apple Akuisisi Perusahaan LED Mikro Hemat Energi, LuxVue Technology

Apple dikabarkan telah membeli perusahaan pembuat teknologi layar LED mikro hemat energi untuk konsumen, LuxVue Technology.

Dilaporkan oleh Techrunch, Apple telah melakukan transaksi pembelian LuxVue Technology, yang nantinya akan dimasukan ke dalam area inovasi hardware Apple.

LuxVue had managed to remain fairly quiet over the past few years, and what we know is that the company develops low-power, micro-LED-based displays for consumer electronics. Weâ€™ve heard Apple acquired the company to add to their hardware innovations area.

Seperti dikutip dari Techcrunch, Apple sendiri telah mengkonfirmasi akuisisi perusahaan LuxVue Technology ini.

â€œApple buys smaller technology companies from time to time, and we generally do not discuss our purpose or plans.”

Sejak berdiri tahun 2009 silam, LuxVue Technology telah mendapatkan pembiayaan sebesar 43 juta dollar dari banyak inverstor, seperti Kleiner Perkins, iD Ventures America, dan lainnya. Perusahaan ini sendiri duduk di urutan ke-57 dari total daftar perusahaan yang sudah diakuisisi oleh Apple.

Paten-paten teknologi LED mikro hemat energi yang dimiliki oleh perusahaan ini, diklaim mampu memberikan kualitas yang lebih baik lagi nantinya buat produk-produk Apple. Tentu saja khususnya, dalam hal tingkat kecerahan layar LED maupun daya tahan baterainya.
