Petinggi Microsoft Ini Ungkap Alasan Mengapa Pakai iPhone

Joe Belfiore yang menjabat sebagai Corporate Vice President, Operating Systems Group di Microsoft mengemukakan alasan mengapa ia menggunakan iPhone daripada smartphone bersistem operasi Windows Phone besutan perusahaannya.

Dari kolom komentarnya yang ada di The Verge, Joe Belfiore mengatakan bahwa cara yang sangat penting untuk memahami secara mendalam mengenai produk dari Apple adalah dengan menggunakan iPhone.

Lebih lanjut untuk memahami keunggulan dan kelemahan sistem operasi Windows Phone, Joe Belfiore mengatakan dirinya juga harus menggunakan smartphone dengan sistem operasi iOS ataupun Android besutan Google.

….it’s very important for me to understand products like the iPhone and Android phones, which are heavily used by PC users around the world, and which represent the competition for Windows Phone.

On a 9-month leave-of-absence, I have a HUGE AND UNUSUAL opportunity to get to know these products deeply. To understand the benefits and drawbacks of a full ecosystem like Windows, Android, iOS — you have to LIVE IN IT. You have to feel its strengths and weaknesses, be let down, be delighted. And you can’t do that just “playing around” with a device for a couple of days. You have to learn the UI, upload your photos, use cross-device apps and tools… all of it.

Hanya saja, Apple sangat piawai untuk tidak terlalu mengeksposnya terang-terangan sebagaimana yang dilakukan oleh Joe Belfiore. Petinggi Microsoft itu sempat beberapa kali ketahuan berkicau di Twitter dengan menggunakan iPhone.
