Layar OLED Apple Watch 4 Raih Penghargaan "Display of The Year"

Setelah mencatatkan sebagai penguasa pasar smartwatch, Apple Watch kembali raih prestasi.

Kali ini Apple Watch generasi ke-empat berhasil meraih penghargaan Display of The Year oleh The Society for Information Display (SID) 2019.

Penghargaan ini diberikan pada acara Display Industry Awards 2019 di Display Week yang berlangsung setiap tahun, dan tahun ini adalah event yang ke-25.

Dr. Wei Chan, ketua komite Display Industry Award mengatakan Apple Watch 4 menang dengan keunggulan “kualitas tinggi dengan hasil inovatif membawa industri layar ke tingkat yang lebih tinggi.”

This year’s winners reflect the breadth and depth of recent product development and technology innovation necessary to support the relentless pace of consumer and industrial electronics evolution.

While retaining the original signature design, the fourth-generation Apple Watch has been refined, combining new hardware and software enhancements into a singular, unified form.

The challenge for designers was to make the display bigger without noticeably increasing the size of the case or compromising the battery life. Narrower borders enable a viewing area that’s more than 30 percent larger, while a new display technology called LTPO improves power efficiency, helping users get through the day on a single charge.

Teknologi LTPO sendiri dikembangkan oleh Apple dan diterapkan pada produknya.

Selain Apple Watch 4, ada 2 produk lain yang juga mendapatkan gelar serupa.
